The Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation invites you to engage with “Face to Face” – a curated selection of around 25 portraits from its internationally renowned collection of contemporary photography, each offering an insight into the diversity, complexity, and affectability of the human experience. From quiet, intimate studies to powerful social commentary, the works displayed span continents, cultures, and generations – reflecting the wide range of the Foundation’s collecting since 1999, from celebrated figures to emergent, lesser-known voices while spotlighting two recent acquisitions by Hoda Afshar and Aida Silvestri.

Mit „Face to Face“ geben wir einen Einblick in die Bandbreite unserer Sammlung und widmen uns dabei besonders dem Portrait in der zeitgenössischen Fotografie. Von stillen, intimen Aufnahmen bis hin zu kraftvollen sozialkritischen Arbeiten – die ausgestellten Werke umspannen Kontinente, Kulturen und Generationen und verdeutlichen die Vielfalt, Komplexität und Verletzlichkeit der menschlichen Erfahrung.
